Long Lake & Big Sand Lake

Big Sand Lake is a 1427-acre lake located just east of Phelps. The lake has a maximum depth of 56 feet. Big Sand Lake boasts lots of water with few homes, making it a great place for privacy while still being on big water.
Known for its great fishing, anglers can expect to catch Musky, Panfish, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike, and Walleye. Big Sand Lake also offers a public boat landing on the north end of the lake.
To the west, Big Sand Lake also connects to Long Lake. Long Lake is an 886-acre lake with moderately clear water. The lake has a maximum depth of 88 feet. Put together, these lakes cover 2,313 acres of great space for recreation and fishing.
Long Lake also offers great fishing where anglers can expect to catch Musky, Panfish, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike, Trout, and Walleye. Long Lake also offers a public boat landing on the north end of the lake.
