My real estate career began by working for Ray Weber – another Eliason Realty broker, while I was attending the University of Wisconsin – Madison in the 1990s. I double majored in Finance and Real Estate for my bachelor's degree and I earned a master's degree in finance (MBA) as well. I was six credits short of a second master's degree in real estate, but I just couldn't stay in school another day. Madison was a great school for real estate and was Ranked #1 in the United States by U.S. News & World Report (2013)

My brother and I began buying local properties with a few partners and eventually found ourselves running Eliason 1031 Properties. Our company was the second fastest growing company in the United States (Inc Magazine 2008). We purchased and sold nearly half a billion dollars worth of investment real estate throughout the United States. Our revenue in 2007 was $205 million and we had investors in 36 states. In 2014, my brother and I were operating an insurance agency in Wausau, WI with another partner. We served thousands of customers throughout Wisconsin. Midwestern Risk Advisors was sold in the spring of 2018 to Spectrum Insurance Group.

Vilas County has been home for my entire life. I married a "local" girl after college and along with our two kids, we can't imagine living anywhere else but the Northwoods of Wisconsin.
