The magic begins - part 2
On Saturday, in Minocqua, Nov. 26 starting at 9:00 a.m. it’s the 28th Annual Christmas Gift and Craft Fair at Lakeland Union High School. This event is sponsored by the Lakeland Union High School Model UN.
The Fair will feature hand-crafted gifts, decoration and furniture. There will be treats for sale and lunch will be available. Closing is at 3:00 p.m.
Christmas in Minocqua kicks off Saturday, Nov. 26 at noon at the Minocqua Museum. Santa’s reindeer will be there for pictures and viewing. There will be horse-drawn wagon rides and a fire with cookies and hot chocolate at Veterans Park.
At 12:30 p.m., Santa makes his grand entrance as he tours downtown Minocqua and stops at the Gaslight Square Shoppes where he and the elves will meet the children.
There will be free crafting staged for the children presented by the Lakeland Kiwanis Club at the Gaslight Square Shoppes. Boy Scout Troop #565 will be selling roasted chestnuts on Oneida St.
At 4:30 p.m., Santa and Mrs. Claus will lead everyone to Torpy Park for the lighting of the town Christmas tree and caroling at approximately 5:00 p.m.
