The 56th Annual Colorama
We may need to look at the calendar to remind us that fall is just around the corner. But the 56th Annual Colorama in St. Germain is this Saturday, Sept. 17 from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. in the Community Park.
This event captures the spirit of everything fall is meant to be. This is a celebration of the sights, sounds, smells and tastes that autumn brings.
The park is filled with crafters and a Farmers Market from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Not to be missed is the fabulous “Mums the Word” sale that opens at 10:00 a.m. This sale features the biggest and most beautiful mum plants to add spectacular splashes of fall color around your home or business.
There are free horse-drawn wagon rides from 11:00 a.m .- 4:00 p.m. through the area’s beautiful wooded trails, face painting for the children, a pumpkin decorating contest is from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and concessions all day long.
Beginning at 10:00 a.m.until 6:00 p.m. is the Second Annual Human Foosball games. Teams of six compete against each other and games are available for open teams and preregistered teams. The tournament begins at 2:00 p.m.
Starting at 12:00 p.m. is “Pints in the Park”, a craft beer tasting that lasts until 4:00 p.m. Tickets are $10.00 and there will be a variety of live music. Featured is Mark Wayne, the Jim Pekol Polka Band and Almost Famous.
New this year is the St. Germain Scavenger Stampede open to ATV and UTV’s. Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. on the third base line go the baseball field and ends at 4:00 p.m. Winners will be announced at 5:00 p.m.
There will also be raffles and other items available at the registration table. This is a free event. To pre-register visit the St. Germain ATV Club website.
St. Germain is home to the original “Colorama” and it is a hugely popular event you don’t want to miss. It’s great fun for the entire family!
1st Annual Open House - Premier Powersports & Marine
This Saturday, Sept. 17, is the First Annual Open house for Premier Powersports and Marine on Highway 70 on the east side of town. Owner Brian Siekierzynski invites everyone to visit their location and is offering boat test rides with Recon’s pro staff from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
Joe Bucher and other Recon pros will be on hand to answer questions in addition to offering raffle prizes, food and special incentives available on boats for spring delivery.

Lake Nokomis Bog Tours
Don’t miss the colorful and information-filled bog tours offered by Lake Nokomis Cranberry Marsh. Monday mornings Sept. 19, 26 and Oct. 3, the Prime Timers bus will leave the St. Germain Chamber office at 10:00 a.m. for a round trip cost of $5. The bog tour is free and lasts approximately one hour.
There will be time to shop in the Wine and Gift Shop on the premise. The tour will return to the chamber at approximately 12:00 p.m.
