June launches a season of fantastic events!
Walk in The Woods Art Fair - St. Germain
June’s event calendar is off to a great start and this upcoming weekend features three great major events.
This Saturday, June 11, at the Hi-Pines Campground in Eagle River, beginning at 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. is the “Up North Beerfest.” This event features delicious beer samplings from more than 30 microbrews, both locally and throughout Wisconsin.
Advance tickets for this chamber-sponsored event are $35 and are available from the Eagle River Chamber of Commerce, Trigs Cellar 70 in Eagle River, Rhinelander, Minocqua and Wausau, Minocqua Brewing Company in Minocqua and Redeye Brewing Company in Wausau.
Tickets are also available for purchase through the event’s website. There will be tickets available at the event for $40. Participants will receive a wristband, commemorative tasting glass and a program.
No one under 21 will be admitted to the grounds and pets are not allowed. Designated drivers get in free with a paid admission. There are free bus shuttles to the campground from participating hotels, motels and resorts. Can it be nine years already for the Annual Walk in the Woods Art Fair? You bet, and again this year, this arts celebration will be held in the park behind the St. Germain Chamber of Commerce from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
Spend a gorgeous day browsing and shopping the works of more than 50 regional artists that will be displaying and selling their crafts.
There will be wares by potters, painters, photographers, woodcarvers, furniture makers, baskets weavers as well as candle makers, jewelers and more.
Enjoy live music and sample some artisan cheeses and local wine under the trees. Need more substantial fare? Stop by the Lion’s Club booth.
This is a free event and is sponsored by the St. Germain Chamber of Commerce and local businesses.
Backing up to June 10 through June 12 is the 36th Annual Muskies, Inc. Spring Classic of Champions in Eagle River. Registration is at the Eagle River Inn from 4:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 10. and the entry fee is $330 per fishing team. Individuals also may register.
Win well over $10,000 for the top prize and each of the top 10 teams will be awarded cash prizes. There will also be three $100 drawings for the teams not qualifying in the top ten places.
Tournament fishing is on Eagle River area waters from 7:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Saturday, June 11, and concluding Sunday, June 12, from 7:00 a.m. until noon.
The awards ceremony will be held on Sunday, including the luncheon banquet.
This is a catch and release event with judge boat verification.
