More Memorial Day Services 2016
Woodruff Veterans Memorial
Here is an update on more communities that are going to hold Memorial Day Services:
Boulder Junction: Monday, May 30, the Memorial Day service will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial Triangle in downtown Boulder Junction. The service will then move to the Pines Cemetery on Highway K. This is planned to conclude at 1:00 p.m.
The service is being held by the American Legion Post 451. Call them at 715-385-2302.
Manitowish Waters: Beginning at 11:30 a.m. at Pine Lawn Cemetery on Pine Lawn Rd., there will be a Memorial Day Service on May 30. In case of rain, the event will be held at the Manitowish Waters Community Center on Highway 51 and Airport Rd.

Woodruff: Saturday, May 28, Woodruff will hold an “American Heroes Parade” starting at 12:00 p.m. Line up starts at 11:15 a.m. The route of the parade will begin at Thrall Rd and continue to Veterans Parkway. There will be a gun salute at the tank memorial. Woodruff invites all veterans to participate to honor those who have fallen.

Presque Isle/Winchester: There will be Memorial Day services held May 30 at the Presque Isle Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. and at the Winchester Cemetery at 11:30 p.m.
There will be a Memorial Day Ceremony at the future site of the Wilderness Veterans Memorial; followed by a luncheon at American Legion Post #480 on Highway W at the American Legion Hall. The site is located near Post #480
Author Bill Rutherford will be selling his book “Winegar Reflections”. There will be one dollar from the sale of each book donated to the new Wilderness Veterans Memorial Site.
