We have Beef-A-Rama, we have Taste of the Northwoods - now get ready for this - the second annual “Spam-A-Rama”! Have you ever? And, no, we aren't talking about that nuisance email. It's that pink and white whatever it is that fills many meal's meat requirements.
Many of you know that Hawaii has a strong affinity for the mystery chopped meat that the US military brought to the islands during World War II. Now it's the Bear’s Den at the Black Bear Lodge in St. Germain that is stepping up to the plate and is showcasing a competition. Their Great Spam Cook-Off is this Sunday, April 17 beginning at 1:00 PM. The public is invited to bring their favorite Spam dish and there will be prizes for the winner. (Cases of Spam?) Judging begins at 4:00 PM.
For more details, call the Bear’s Den at 715-479-4326. Bring your prized Spam dish, plenty of Alka Seltzer and have a great afternoon at the Bear’s Den!
Who says there is nothing to do in the Northwoods in April?
