5th Annual Maple Syrup Fest
Here is a great event that is pure deliciousness! Saturday, April 2, at the Phelps School, it is the 5th Annual Maple Syrup Fest from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. This family-friendly event is a hands on way to learn about how maple syrup is made.
There will be demonstrations on how to tap syrup from maple trees and guided tours of the area’s local sugar bushes. Take the tour driving your own car or take the school bus for the guided tour.
There will an array of maple treats available at the Maple Cafe’. For the younger set, there will be games and activities. There is an art and crafts show and local maple syrup entries will be judged by local celebrities. There is an application form online to enter the judging.
All activities and tours are free of charge. There is also a raffle featuring many great prizes. First prize is a Mountain Bike Package and a two-night stay for a party of three at Sunrise Lodge. Partial proceeds from the day will go to fund the school's scholarship program.
