Celebratin' St. Patty's Day the Northwoods Way!

’Tis a fine thing to celebrate St. Patty’s Day at one of the many establishments honoring the Irish patron saint here in the Northwoods. This coming Thursday, March 17, there will be many area businesses and organizations featuring Irish brews, spirits, food and music.

So get your Irish on — or conjure up some and enjoy the wearin’ o’ the green at one of the places listed below.

Minocqua: The Island City Masons 330 are starting their celebrating early on Tuesday, March 15, with their Corned Beef and Cabbage Dinner that will be served from 4:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. at Calvary Lutheran Church in Minocqua.

The church is located on Highway 51, across from Paul Bunyan’s. Part of the proceeds from the dinner go to fund community projects. For more information call 715-356-5080.

T. Murtaughs - where it’s St.Patrick’s Day every day. Great Irish beers, liquors and liqueurs are in abundance and their corned beef is reported to be stellar.

This Irish pub is located in downtown Minocqua on the corner of Oneida St and E. Milwaukee St. Call 715-356-7712 for more details.

Woodruff: Holy Family Catholic Church will hold their St. Patrick’s Day Corned Beef and Cabbage Dinner from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the church. It is located on Highway J.

St. Germain: For some of the best corned beef anywhere, head to Legends of the North in the strip mall in downtown St. Germain. Thick, tender and oh so delicious!

At Sisters Saloon, Inc, it’s their St. Pattie’s Day Corned Beef and Cabbage dinner on March 17, from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. This is an all you can eat meal for $14.95. Reservations are accepted. Call 715-542-3483.

Eagle River: Riverstone Restaurant and Tavern is featuring Corned Beef and Cabbage in addition to their full menu. They are located at 219 Railroad St.  For more details, contact them at 715-479-8467.

Eagle Lanes will feature the music of Sick and Wrong beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 17. There will be drink and shot specials in honor of St. Patrick’s Day. 715-479-4555.

Bucktale Inn will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day by adding Shepherd’s Pie to their menu on Thursday, March 17 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. They are on Highway H, on the west side of town. Call 715-479-7182 for details.

Eagle Waters Resort will be doing up St. Patty’s Day with a big celebration. A portion of the event’s proceeds will go to the Sno Eagles Snowmobile Club. The evening will feature a grand buffet with plenty of corned beef and cabbage, Shepherd’s pie and so much more.

There will be raffles and prizes, a Wearin’ o’ the Green contest, Irish Music and movies, green beer, Irish Trivia and more! To get more information call 715-479-4411.

Conover: The Dublin Sports bar and Grill gets the jump on everyone with their week- long St. Patricks Day celebration. Their menu will feature Finnegan's beer battered deep-fried Reuben sandwich and their Corned Beef and Cabbage served over homemade Irish Colcannon Potatoes. 

For an added twist they will be selling all you can drink tap beer wrist bands for $100 good for the entire week or $25 per day bands. With each band purchased, the purchasers will receive a care package of Irish stuff. Green Beer? For sure!

Land O’Lakes: To celebrate the last day they are open for this month, Bent’s Camp will host their St. Patrick’s Blowout Party on Saturday, March 19. In addition to discounts throughout the Lodge, the 5th Annual Mustache Bash will be at 6:00 p.m. that day as well. There are prizes for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd places.
