Lac du Flambeau Chain
Ten lakes known for their clear water encompass the Lac du Flambeau Chain of Lakes. Trophy walleye and musky fishing is offered on these waters as well as bass, northern pike, perch and panfish.
The lakes of the Lac du Flambeau Chain are spring-fed with water level controlled by a fixed dam on the Northwest end of Flambeau Lake.
Many refer to the Lac du Flambeau Chain as the Fence Lake Chain, which is the chain's largest body of water with 3,483 acres to explore. Big Crawling Stone Lake has 1,483 acres and Little Crawling Stone Lake offers 113 acres.
The downtown area of Lac du Flambeau is on the shores of Long Interlaken (also known as Interlochen) and Pokegama Lake, where the Lake of the Torches Casino is also located.
Highway 47 runs Northwest to Southeast through the township of Lac du Flambeau and the Chain.
