Memorial Day 2017

 

It’s here — the first official weekend of the 2017 summer season! To celebrate this momentous occasion, several of the area communities are holding all sorts of fun events.

But first, we remember the real reason for Memorial weekend is Memorial Day. This day was established to honor the heroes who gave their lives so that we can live free in the USA. Bless them and those who also have risked and risk daily their lives in the service of our country.

Boulder Junction — Monday, May 29, 11:00 a.m. — 1:00 p.m. Veterans Memorial Triangle. Click here for more information

Eagle River — Monday, May 29, 11:00 a.m. Veterans Memorial Park in the front of the Vilas County Court House. In the event of rain it will be at Northland Pines High School. There are no further details.

Presque Isle — Monday, May 29 , 11:00 a.m. at the Evergreen Cemetery. Click here for more information.

Winchester — Monday, May 29, 11:30 a.m. at the Winchester Cemetery. Click here for more information.

Woodruff — Monday, May 29, 10:00 a.m. —11:00 a.m. American Legion Post 7898 at Evergreen Cemetery. Click here for more information.

Lake Tomahawk - Monday, May 29, 11:00 a.m. American Legion Post 318 at Wilderness Rest Cemetery on Hwy. 47 . There is no further information.
