New ceramics studio Open House
As spring’s appearance is dragging her feet and the tardy snow cover from winter harasses the Northwoods, to add insult to injury, this Friday marks the tax filing deadline.
Why not shed the post-winter doldrums and visit the Warehouse Four Seasons Center for the Arts, in Eagle River, this Friday, April 15, from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM? That evening they will showcase their new ceramics studio.
At the studio, classes will be held featuring throwing on a wheel, hand building and glazing. There is also a space open where the community can build or throw on their own.
This Grand Opening will feature tours of the new studio as well as appetizers, refreshments and a cash bar. Also, for those interested, the “Make It- Take It” is an opportunity for visitors to glaze a piggy bank, as a nod to the tax deadline day. The casting is $10 and if interested, please be at the Warehouse by 7:00 PM so the item can be fired after glazing and will be available for pick up next week.
There will be other items available for glazing and they are individually priced. These finished pieces will be available for pick up next week as well. No reservations for the evening are required.
The Warehouse Four Seasons Center for the Arts is located at 107 S. Railroad St. in Eagle River. Visit their website or call 715-479-4060 for more details.
Hopefully, the forecast for mild temperatures will come to fruition and this will be a great night out to celebrate the arrival of spring!
