Dreaming of warm temperatures and blue water?
Lake Forest Golf Club Health and Fitness Center
Here is how you can find it in the Northwoods - NOW!
It is fast approaching that difficult time of year — not enough snow to ski or snowmobile, the ice is a bit iffy - just not enough winter for its’ sports. Talk about cabin fever!
How about lying by the water in your swimsuit, a cold drink in your hand? No, we’re not talking about hopping on a plane. How about hopping in your car for a 15-minute drive?
It’s not general knowledge, but there are several facilities that open their pools to the public. From local schools to some of the high end resorts, you can splash away those end of season doldrums while waiting for spring temperatures to provide welcoming warmth.
The Waters of Minocqua
Want a little adventure in your outing? Why not head to the Waters where there is more than just one pool for play? This facility offers both indoor and outdoor pools, including an outdoor slide that is open on weekend late afternoons.
Admission is $15 for those over 48” tall when the slide is open; $5 when the slide is closed. For those under 48”, the cost is $5; those under the age of two are free. Non-swimmers can enjoy the area for $5.
