Great big globs of ghostly goodies
It’s time for all things scary and fun as we move to the time of year that is rich in celebrating many festivities within the next two months. From children ringing doorbells and screaming “Trick or Treat!” to lavish adult Halloween parties at area establishments and public venues, it’s great fun for all!
Here is a wide variety of things to do throughout the area this season to make this Halloween it’s scary best.
Don't want to wait to get in the mood? Head over to “Evil Falls”, the House of Tormented Souls, in Eagle River on Friday and Saturday nights from 7:00 PM until 11:00 PM at Eagle Falls Golf and Laser Tag. It is located off Highway 70 on Eagle River’s east side. Admission is $10. They will be scaring the daylights out of young and old alike on Oct. 23,24,30 and 31.
On Friday night from 6:30 PM until 9:00 PM at the Northwoods Children’s Museum
The Eagle River Businessmen’s Association (ERBA) is sponsoring Hallow Fest on Saturday from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM. There are several events scheduled throughout the area.
Among the great things this year are a Treasure Hunt from 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM, kid’s games with prizes, a Bouncy House, a Hay Maze from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM, a kid’s Costume Contest with prizes at 12:00 PM, and a Petting Zoo and Pet Costume Contest at the Humane Society at 3:00 P.M.
Registration for the ERBA Hallow Fest Zombie Fun Run ends on 10/30 at 11:59 PM and those wishing to participate can do so online. Registration is $35 for runners and $30 for Zombies.
Run registration and packet pick up begins on Saturday, Oct. 31 at the Three Lake Eagle Trail by the Dairy Queen from 4:00 - 5:00 PM and the run begins at 5:00 PM.
After the run, head to the Blue Heron at Wild Eagle Resort for the Monster Bash at 7:00 PM with entertainment and hors d'ouvres and join the ghouls and guys dancing the night away. Admission is $20. Or go to Eagle Waters Resort for their Costume Contest.
For the little goblins, head over to Halogras hosted by the Eagle River Lions Club at the Northland Pines Middle school from 6:00 - 7:30 PM. This is a trick or treat party. For more details call 715-480-4140.

For those in Conover, there will be a Kids Halloween Party at the Community Center from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. There will be a costume contest, games, prizes, food and beverages for kids from tots to teens.

Looking for something different to do this year? On Friday night, Oct. 30, the Campanile Center for the Arts features a double feature movie night featuring the classics “Abbot and Costello meet Frankenstein" at 7:00 PM and “Abbott and Costello Meet the Mummy” at 8:45 PM.
Admission is $5 per person and children under 5 are free. Doors open at 6:30 PM and those in costume will get a free popcorn. Other concessions also available. See their website or call 715-356-9700 for more information.
