Are you a fan of Celtic Music?  It will almost be St. Patrick's Day and everyone will be Irish at Campanile on Sunday the 16th.  Straight from Ireland, this band is one of the best Celtic bands I have seen in some time.  I will be putting more information up soon put I'm giving everyone advance warning on where you need to be on this date.  Perhaps Randy and Cindy will be enticed to serve up green beer for you out of the "Concessional" to add to the festivities.  This one is going to be fun!

Over in Eagle River there is a true to the core Irish Pub!

O’Brien’s Pub, 4331 East Wall St., in Eagle River, will be kicking off their celebration of St. Paddy’s day on March 15 and then again on March 17. On Saturday they will be serving Guinness on tap with plenty of singing and dancing – and according to their Facebook page – one of the few area pubs that will be serving corned beef and cabbage on March 17.

Here is a “hairy” event in Land O’Lakes – from the Bent’s Camp Resort and Lodge Restaurant  Facebook webpage:

"Get ready! Lots going on! St. Patty's party this Saturday, March 15. DJ – 3 p.m. All tap beer and bottles half off. Food up to 50% off. Gift shop buy one get one free. Mustache bash contest at 6 p.m.
Corned beef and cabbage special served with carrots and potatoes - $12.99. All food and beer specials while supplies last."

Got a hankering for a good ole St Patrick’s Day Parade? Head over to Rhinelander. Parade starts downtown at 1:30 p.m. Businesses will be participating with specials and there is also a Pub Crawl. For more details, call Jack Winkler at 715-369- 3030.

And to send you off, here is a wee bit of an Old Irish Blessing:

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
And the rain fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of his hand.
